以“我们关爱，我们梦想，我们拼搏”为主题的首届南北卡华人体育大会在紧张筹备中

8月17日，于今年夏季新成立的海外华人文化体育艺术联合会部分体育大会筹备组成员20余人在北卡夏洛特市的亚洲图书馆召开了第二次筹备通报会。通报会上大家畅所欲言，除了介绍各自的体育项目的准备情况之外，还积极地给联合会提出各自的新建议，以便把首届体育大会筹办好。

基于过去几周来的实际准备情况和各个体育项目的参与人数和竞技水平超过了预期的标准，通报会上决定对体育大会的日程表作了相应的改动。原本计划是在一天内举行全部比赛项目的，现在改为分别在9月14日，9月21日，10月5，6日和十月12日多天里举行不同的比赛项目。同时还增加了９月２１日的中秋节卡拉ＯＫ舞会暨颁奖典礼。但最为重要的改动是，原本定于在中学礼堂举行的开幕典礼和颁奖典礼暨文艺表演将改在夏洛特市中心的富国银行大厦前举行。这样的场所将会使观众人数多达数千人，社会效益和影响力也会更好。

To prepare for the coming Mid-Autumn Festival, some of the best singing enthuiasts in Charlotte gethered at Dennis's house this weekend to practice their favorite songs. They included Nina Chen, Austin Lu, Hailong Mao, Wangchao Zhao, Dennis Yu. It was a fun practice session. Everyone was actively exchanging ideas and tips during the 3 hours long practice session.

We were having a meeting with part of our team members last Saturday. It was a great meeting. It helps everyone know each other, and we have a great discussion about the OCCAAF and its 1st Annual Carolinas Chinese American Sports Meet and the Mid-Autumn Festival. Everyone was very exciting about the coming event and contributed their own ideas and thought during the discussion. Thank Jack Wang for his photos posted below.

上个周六中午，体育大会筹备组的部分成员聚集在亚洲图书馆召开了一次比较全面的筹备会。会议上把各个项目的负责人对比赛项目的 细节等等相关问题都进行了讨 论，大家对于这首届卡罗来纳华人体育大会的筹备，即将举行都表现出了很高的热情。会议的召开很大程度上解决了不少细节上的问题。现附上与会者的部分照片， 随后将进行更为细致的报道。谢谢世界日报记者及本联合会特约记者王政贤提供的全部照片。

In the past several weeks, we have spent quite some times to discuss different ideas and issues with a lot of people. With those discussions, we have finalized and accomplished quite a lot of things, such as the one we had at Austin's house have helped us to finalize the Mid-Autumn Festival plan.

The one we had at Panera Bread Store front help us to build this web site and some of the registration form you see on the web site.

 OCCAAF is planning to publish its first issue OC Magazine sometime next year. It will be ipad version and traditional hard copy version. We hope it will give Chinese Community more voices and exposure.

It is a great honor for us to have a former Olympian, Wing Wong (黄颖) as one of our honorable guests for this coming sport event. Mr. Wong was a former Olympian, who represented China National Water Polo Team participated in the 1984 Olympics Game in Los Angeles. He will be our honorable guest and Volunteer; He will be our special guest who will help us lighting up the torch at the Open Ceremony.
